Captain’s Blog Jan - Feb 2011

Continued to run the yacht in same manner by the good efforts and cooperation of all crew.

Crew Changes: 
In the month of Jan 2011 we had two crew changes took place as Imtisenla decided to resign for her personal reasons and Kalpana was recalled by the Company to Owner’s estate at Mumbai upon completion of her vacation and Diploma in Hotel Management.

Zanabeni  and Atoli joined us from Owner’s estate on rotational basis to replace Imtisenla and Kalpana respectively.

Crew training and certification:               
Dubey has successfully completed his Yacht master offshore preparation and exams at UK and proposed to be promoted to rank of Bosun.

Maintenance:  
Apart from ongoing scheduled maintenance, we finally could complete top overhaul on our two wing engines by the help of Goa based Cummins team. During which Ruman has shown remarkable performance by conducting tasks in a very professional manner, while also managing the occasional malfunctions on our generators.

Ships Plan:
The yacht is still at Goa since Oct 2010 for Owner’s use and will remain in Goa till end of Apr 2011, thereafter head for Trincomalee (Sri Lanka) for duration of the monsoon.

During our stay at Goa crew found opportunity to explore the Dudhsagar waterfall.
