Jari Lindgren, Captain
Jari, born in Turku, Finland, has been at sea for a quarter of a century and holds a STCW unlimited Master's licence and MCA CeC. He started in the Merchant navy and moved from there to Cruise ships. Jan 2002 he made a career move into yachting, starting with the conversion of m/y Turama. He has since sailed on various yachts around the world, specialising in cruising grounds in the Far East. He also holds a PADI rescue diver certificate.
Jari is multilingual and speaks English, Swedish, Finnish fluently and conversational Thai and Greek. He joined m/y Kalizma in May 2008 and is looking forward in welcoming the Owner and guests onboard.

Surender Saini, Relief Captain/ 1st Officer
Coming from Hariyana, Saini has joined Kalizma in 2007 after putting in 15yrs in the Indian Navy. He is qualified as an air rescue diver and has completed his PADI certifications as a dive instructor. Surender has also has sailed the world in competition class Sailing Boats and has recently in 2010 acquired his MCA Chief Officers qualification. 

Sandeep Dubey, Deckhand
Born in Tikulia, Sandeep has served 15 yrs in the Indian navy and is a qualified air rescue diver. After doing a short stint in the Merchant Navy he joined Kalizma in Dec 2008. He also holds RYA Ocean Yachtmaster certificate and STCW training and is working on getting his OOW done. 

Kamlesh Yadav , Deckhand
Kamlesh comes from Uttar Pradesh and joined Kalizma in 2007 and is now proving to be a great asset on board. He is a keen learner and an excellent hand on the deck. He has also trained himself to interact with guests and help in serving them. He has RYA powerboat certification and STCW basic training.

Sunil Sharma, Chief Engineer
Holding a MCA Y3 Engineers license, Sunil has been on Kalizma for the past 7 years after retiring from the Indian Navy. With his experience, he brings to Kalizma all the required expertise to keep a 104 yr old Classic ticking.  Sunil is a native of Dehradun and was closely involved in Kalizma’s refit in 2005.

Ruman Haddadi, Fitter
Ruman joined us last monsoon in 2010 and hails from Mumbai. Earlier he has gathered experience in the Middle East working as a mechanic but now he is being groomed for the yachting world. He has STCW basic training and provides Sunil the necessary help in maintaining Kalizma.

Richard Devakumar, Chief Steward cum Chef
Richard has been part of the yachting industry for over 17yrs looking after Owner’s and Guests. He has been on Kalizma for the last 14 years and is an integral part of the successful charter seasons in the Mediterranean prior the yacht’s refit. He specializes in South Indian cuisine as he comes from Nagercoil. He is a keen learner and is now proficient in Thai, North Indian and Italian cuisine.
